Universidad de León (ULE) is an active HEI which has had an interest in international education since its beginnings in 1979. Its two campuses serve a yearly average of 13.000 students. In total, ULE offers 38 undergraduate degrees, 30 graduate degrees, and 14 Ph.D. programs. ULE is also supported by 10 institutes, 1 technological , and 6 extraordinary chairs. The University counts with an International Relation Office, as well as an International Project Office and an International Research Office. Those offices have a large experience in the management of international projects. At the University there is also a special area dedicated to the Transference of Knowledge. ULE has also a large experience as a partner in several key networks that boost the internationalization process of the university and also of the entire community. The main networks are Santander Group, Compostela Group, Nice Network, European University Association, European Association for International Education, the Forum on Education Exchange, NAFSA, APUNE and the Association of North American Programs in Spain. It is worth to mention that ULE is a founding member of both the Santander Group and the Compostela Group of Universities. ULE is also very active in leading European calls.
Carmen Rodríguez Santos, Professor at the University of Leon (Spain), Research Fellow at Leeds Beckett University (UK), Adjunct Professor at University of Vaasa (Finland), Professor Visitor at IAE (France), University of Trento (Italy) and University of Kassel (Germany). She is also Professor in various Private Business School (such as ESIC) and key speaker in international conferences. Carmen has coordinated several international projects as well as taken part as partner in Strategic Alliances and Seventh Programmes. She coordinates an international network of experts in Consumer Behavior from 18 European countries as well as the European Master in Business Studies (www.embs.eu), with the EFMD accreditation. She is also a Referee for several scientific journals and congresses. Furthermore, Carmen shows her research outputs through 20 publications in national and international indexed journals. She has also written 6 books and has contributed chapters in 16 books. In addition to her engagement in academic and scholarly puruits, Carmen has considerable and recognized professional experience in consultancy in private companies, in the areas of Brand management, B2C Engaging Communication and Consumer Insights.
